The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher is designed to be taken by those who have already passed the IOSH Managing Safely course. The IOSH Managing Safely course does not expire but IOSH recommends learners undergo the Refresher course after three years.

It is an ideal next step for learners who have passed the IOSH Managing Safely qualification. The Refresher course further implements the principles required to manage the workplace effectively and safely.

Course Duration:  7 hours

Course Modules:

Module 1 - Thinking Back

A reflective summary on the IOSH Managing Safely course.

Module 2Leadership

Identifying the core attributes and principles required to be an effective and safe leader in the workplace.

Module 3Plan

Examines how to successfully implement the 'plan' stage in the 'Plan-Do-Check-Act' model.

Module 4Do

Examines how to successfully implement the 'do' stage in the 'Plan-Do-Check-Act' model.

Module 5Check

Examines how to successfully implement the 'check' stage in the 'Plan-Do-Check-Act' model.

Module 6Act

Examines how to correctly implement the final 'act' stage in the 'Plan-Do-Check-Act' system. 

Examination:

You will complete a short multiple-choice test, taken at the end of the course.  You will have 30 minutes to answer 21 questions in a variety of formats, including multiple choice, true/false and open questions with short answer.
