The new NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety is a Level-3 qualification in fire safety risk assessment, prevention and management. Ideal for individuals with fire safety responsibilities, shaping fire safety culture in low to medium risk workplaces, including Health and Safety Managers, Facilities Managers and Health and Safety Representatives. It is not aimed at those needing to undertake more complex or high fire risk assessments.
The course comprises two central units that will cover pivotal areas such as the core fundamentals of fire safety principles, risk and safety management and the prevention of fire risk.
This NEBOSH Fire Certificate will allow you to develop your fire safety skills and confidence to implement risk and safety management systems of work. You will be able to use effective fire risk assessments and influence behaviour in your organisation.

Course duration: 5 days
Course Module - Fire Safety
This unit covers the entire course providing a comprehensive level of fire safety training. It covers topics such as fire risk assessments and the stages of building evacuation.
Fire Risk Assessment. The fire risk assessment has been developed around fire risk assessment standards such as the Home Office fire guidance and PAS79-1:2020.
Examination:
The FSC1 open book exam is completed electronically and submitted through the NEBOSH exam portal. You have 24 hours from 11am (UK time) on exam day to complete and submit your exam paper. You will be presented with a scenario describing a realistic workplace and situation, and will have to carry out a series of tasks using the scenario provided and your knowledge gained throughout your learning.
The Fire risk assessment is a practical assessment based on a workplace. This can be completed at a place of work or at home, and is submitted by email according to deadline. You must successfully pass both units to achieve your full NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety
